Because they were forgettable.

I’ll take the Foxbody over any of the others.

Here, let me cover both with one go:

because it would just be a dead horse in front of the car.

Over a GT350R with carbon wheels?

Honestly? Yes. There’s a magic to the foxbodies for me. They’ve got just enough power to be lively, but predictable as long as you’re not a moron.

Okay, but you could take the R, sell the wheels, and buy 4 Foxbodies... =)

“Oddly enough, though the front wheels are smaller in size, they come with a higher price tag at the parts counter at dealerships. This is due to the ceramic plasma arc spray (the same technology found to treat the original Space Shuttle engines) used to protect the front wheels from brake heat . It turns out the GT350R’s front brakes have been recorded at hitting temperatures of more than 1,652 degrees F, so keeping the wheels shielded from that scorching hot heat is key to keep the carbon fiber protected.
After you see what goes into these wheels, $3,500–$4,000 for a wheel will almost seem like a deal.”
Crazy.

I’m with you there.
There is something magical about the fox. It’s simplicity and light weight certainly help, as well as it’s reaction to mods.
Even the non-Mustang Foxes can be pretty fun.

Or, or, or - sell the GT350R, keep the wheels, and put them on the fox.

The Mustang II would be a malnourished donkey.

This image feels right in more ways than one, but I don’t know horse breeds very well, so I bet I’d enjoy it more if there were explanations for each choice.

Hahaha - nice.
Can I keep the motor, too?

Speaking of Fox Body, why is a Mustang generation named Fox Body? Is it to be ironic in some fashion?

No idea
Good question though
